AGRICULTURE
The technological development and expansion of agricultural knowledge are largely
responsible for the growth of Ramat Negev's agricultural industry. In addition to traditional field
| crop cultivation (falha), Ramat Negev farmers are currently growing flowers and vegetables in greenhouses and in the open, and herbs and spices, grapes, melons, watermelons, pomegranates, deciduous fruit trees, jojoba and more. Someof theunique strains | | |
developed in Ramat Negev, such as cherry tomatoes, are exported overseas. In the livestock industry a great surge can also be seen in the multitude of henhouses, dairy farms and sheep pens. The region also operates fish cultivation farms, in pools of warm and brackish geothermal water.
