Welcome to the new website of the Ramat Negev Regional Council.

The Ramat Negev Regional Council encompasses a region that is spectacular in its beauty, fascinating and diverse in its landscapes. Within the council's jurisdiction there are 13 autonomous communities (moshavim, kibbutzim and community villages) as well as individual family farms dispersed along the Wine Route.

One of the highest priority strategic goals set by the regional council for the coming years is the demographic growth of its communities, which will ensure a sustainable existence with high-quality services provided to all citizens of Ramat Negev.
To this end, the Ramat Negev Regional Council is engaged in fulfilling the potential embodied in the region by expanding the communities and increasing the supply of residential homes in the various forms of settlement. It is also promoting enterprises for business and economic development by setting up employment-generating projects in agriculture, tourism and industry and by assisting entrepreneurs.

At the same time, the council is devoting significant resources to offering a variety of municipal services, such as education from pre-school to high school; emphasizing an array of cultural activities; holding cultural and tourism-related festivals and events for the benefit of the region's residents and as part of what is offered to the many hikers and visitors to the region. All this is done while strictly protecting the environment and preserving the scenery and heritage sites our region has been blessed with. Thought and attention are also given to strengthening the bond with the Jewish community in the Diaspora, through Partnership 2000 with the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado, which has been instrumental in helping us fulfill the council's goals.

I invite you, dear surfers, to take advantage of the up-to-date and varied information about the region, its attractions and communities, about possibilities for relocation, home-buying and employment, and all about what's being done here in the fields of culture, education, welfare, etc.

Through the website, council residents can handle certain matters of business 24 hours a day, such as registering their children for school, purchasing show and concert tickets, paying their property tax and downloading application forms for scholarship requests, as well as other services.

A great deal of thought and effort has been devoted to developing the new website in order to improve the service and to make it more efficient and available to each and every resident. We would appreciate hearing your suggestions, recommendations and remarks concerning the website and its contents.

Pleasant surfing!
